How do I add a deceased loved one to a graduation photo?
- Choose a graduation photo where you are holding your diploma or posing in your cap and gown.
- Add one to three clear photos of the person you miss.
- In the note, say where they should be, for example "standing next to me, proud".
- See your preview, then download the full-size picture.
Ideas for using it
- On the table at your graduation party, in a frame
- Printed at a print shop for the wall at home
- Sent to family with your graduation announcement. We do not add text, so use a card program or a print shop for the words.
- A gift for a parent who lost their own mom or dad
Photo tips
- For the person you are adding, pick a photo where their face is clear and well lit. Looking toward the camera works best.
- Two or three photos of them from different days help the picture look more like them.
- Old, faded or black-and-white photos are fine. The finished picture is in colour to match your family photo.
- For the family photo, leave a little room where they would naturally stand or sit.
Questions
Will they be dressed for a graduation?
They are dressed to fit the photo, in clothes that suit the day. You can say what you want in the note.
Can I add someone to a crowd photo?
It works best when there is a little open space near the graduate. Say in the note where they should stand.
Can I use a high school or college photo?
Yes. Any graduation photo works: kindergarten, high school, college or a master’s degree.
