How to add your dad or mom to a wedding photo
- Choose the wedding photo. A posed photo of the couple, or the bride with her bridesmaids, works best.
- Add one to three clear photos of your parent. Everyday photos are fine.
- Tell us where they should stand, for example "next to the bride, arm around her".
- See your free preview, then download the full-size picture for printing.
Keeping the day as it was
Everyone already in your photo keeps their own face, dress and pose. We only add your parent, dressed for a wedding, in the same light as the rest of the photo.
If the first try is not right, change the note or use a different photo of them. Your first previews are free.
Photo tips
- For the person you are adding, pick a photo where their face is clear and well lit. Looking toward the camera works best.
- Two or three photos of them from different days help the picture look more like them.
- Old, faded or black-and-white photos are fine. The finished picture is in colour to match your family photo.
- For the family photo, leave a little room where they would naturally stand or sit.
Questions
Will they be dressed for a wedding?
Yes. Unless you tell us otherwise, your parent is shown in formal clothes that suit the photo, so they look like they were there.
Can I add both of my parents?
Add one person at a time. Download the first picture, then use it as the family photo and add the second parent.
Is it a good gift for the couple?
Many people make one as a surprise for a sibling or friend. Frame it, or give it on an anniversary.
